Zen came to us by way of a good friend, who believed that she was a better fit for our home. We are so glad she was part of our family! We adored this girl and love her sweet, affectionate personality. She loved to fetch and tug and was a cover model for the UKC magazine, Bloodlines. She was a gorgeous representative of the breed, with a fantastic gait. Her coat is correct in length and texture, she has beautiful proportions, and is simply striking to watch in the ring. She was spayed by her original owner, and thus cannot compete in AKC conformation for championship points. However, at the Berger Picard Club of America National Specialty, she was awarded Best Veteran in Sweepstakes three years in a row (2017, 2018, and 2019). In 2019, she was also awarded Best Veteran in Specialty Show. She retired from the conformation ring and spent her final years enjoying Scent Work, lots of fetch, and a comfy spot on the couch. Sadly, Zen passed away from hemangiosarcoma in March of 2020. We miss her tremendously, but are grateful for the amazing life we shared with her.
